Remote Sensing 2022

We are exploring how pandemic restrictions have produced new modes of knowledge making and how these can act as a starting point in generating novel approaches to research. Our 2022 symposium aims to inform a new understanding of research methodologies, allowing us to question future approaches to fieldwork and engaging ‘remotely’.

Remote Sensing investigates subject matter that may be geographically, culturally, or historically hard to reach –taking us beyond the physicality of space.

On Friday 29th April 2022, we will host a one-day blended symposium, with a keynote presentation from Dr. Timothy Morton, and presentations from Dr. Dylan Yamada-Rice, Futuress, Translocal Institute for Contemporary Art, and students from MA Illustration at Camberwell College of Arts.

Please register to attend for free through the eventbrite page and you will receive a link to the online event via your email.

We will also be releasing a limited number of on-site tickets at £10 each. You will be expected to participate in workshops led by MA students and to attend for the full day. Lunch is included in the price. If you are interested in attending in person, please email: rachel.taylor@camberwell.arts.ac.uk
